no excuses

I'd love to provide an exciting and dramatic excuse for our complete lack of blogging in the past month (2 months?). We were on vacation? Nope. There was a huge earthquake and we've been without power and living off of canned beans and formula? Nope. We've been so swamped with work that all we have time for is work and some moments to spare with Quinn? Thankfully that is a resounding "no". There were riots in Oakland and at one point the angry mob was a mere 100 yards from our apartment? Well, kinda, but it only lasted for about 5 minutes so that certainly doesn't count. (Btw, Oakland citizens and police did a stellar job of passionately and peacefully protesting the verdict while a splinter group made up of mostly non-Oaklandites wreaked havoc.) I'd have to say that we've just been lazy because I can't think of any good reason why we've been neglecting "k to the d."

So the upcoming posts will be a re-cap of the past couple of months...east coast visitors, baseball games, riots, gatherings of friends, and just general cuteness.

It'll be like having a time machine because this stuff happened anywhere from 1 to 2 months ago. By the time we catch up, who knows, Quinn might be walking, reading Judy Blume, and texting on her cell phone. Oy, I really hope not.
