foie gras

We are trying to avoid having our blog turn into the Chronicles of Quinn. However, we know that many are interested in hearing updates and seeing pictures. And quite frankly, there isn't really much else going on besides keeping her thriving and organizing our apartment. Sounds a bit boring, but we are honestly enjoying every second of it. We're limited to only 2 visitors at a time because of the risk of RSVand need to steer clear of crowds for 2 months. We've been grateful for the visits from friends (and that they come bearing food) and the trips we've made to friends' houses for dinner and a break from cabin fever. We take turns running errands and walking klaus so that we get out of the house. Quinn is enjoying the couple of 30-minute walks she gets each day as long as the weather is cooperating

As of about a week ago, Quinn hit the 6-pound mark. Devin keeps referring to Quinn as his little "foie gras." She looks like a typical newborn now except with a lot more head and neck control. After being less than thrilled with the first pediatrician we tried, we LOVE Quinn's newest pediatrician. She said to get ready for a couple of years of being in the 0 percentile and when we stared incredulously as Quinn rolled over TWICE at the doctor's office, she said, "you'd be amazed what can happen when you get a naked baby on a hard surface and really piss her off. Don't expect that to happen at home just yet." :-) The funny thing is that we were more freaked out than thrilled at her crazy flips.

I love the towel picture, it's my favorite of all.
