This is our nephew Aiden. He was born a couple of months before we moved from the east coast to the west coast. Almost 8 years ago. We love to brag to our friends about the amazing individual that he is becoming. Farts make him laugh. Broccoli makes him gag. Skype chats assure us that he's a morrison who cannot stop watching the video of himself on the computer screen. His sense of humor can bore you to death (20 minutes to tell a 3-line joke that has no punch line) and have you belly laughing all at the same time. His creativity and curiosity is contagious. His knack for impersonating the antics of professional wrestlers is unmatched.

We were so proud when we got to experience his concern and care for others who are in need. We got an email from Aiden's mom describing how motivated he was to help those in Haiti after the earthquake. He was inspired by some 5th graders at his school to not just ask for donations but to do chores and tasks around the house and his neighborhood to earn money to send to Haiti. In his words..."the kids there don't have toys or beds or 'medicals' or anything, some of them don't have moms or dads anymore and they are just sitting on rocks that used to be buildings cause the buildings are all gone and are rocks in the street..." and "...I may be little, and may be just a kid, but I can make a BIG difference." Aiden's uncle Bob got wind of his philanthropy and volunteered to fly medical supplies to areas of Haiti that were not easily accessible. This spurred another effort at Aiden's school to gather medical and survival supplies in addition to the money that was being raised. Devin and I were motivated to solicit some money from our friends to donate to the cause. The kids at Aiden's school were able to raise a couple thousand dollars and filled Bob's entire plane with supplies to aid the people of Haiti. Bob and Aiden's grandfather flew the supplies to Haiti, and Aiden's grandfather who is a phenomenal photographer documented the trip. Check out the youtube videos below for the documentation of their journey. Given Aiden's generosity, empathy, and urge to act, we can't wait to see what this kid does in the next 10, 15, and 20 years. Love ya, Aiden!

Alright- get me the tissues... I love your description of our little man... I can't believe that it's been 8 years and that we've traded "Bob the Builder" and "the Wiggles" for Shaun White, Tony Hawk and a few wrestlers whose names I am still working on. He is so lucky to have so many amazing and caring people in his life. You realize, when you have the privilege to become somebody's mom or dad, that it truly does take a village. Jason and I are so very grateful that Kate and Devin are a big part of that village. Even before they became parents of the mighty Quinn, they already had some of the best tips and advice on some of our more challenging moments... and they never laughed too hard at them. Quinn couldn't be a luckier little lady and we can't wait to meet her in person. One day she and her big cousin can make a "big difference" together! xoxo Tearson
Love it Aiden. Way to go and keep up all of the good work.
